Don's (The Cotopaxi Store) was started in 1923 by Donald and Mattie Augustine.

Upon his death in 1956 the store was taken over by John and Lois Young (Lois was the daughter of Donald and Mattie) who changed the name to Cotopaxi Store.

Upon the death of John in 1988, their oldest son and daughter-in-law Kenneth & Anne Young, came into the store with Lois.

The business was incorporated in 1990. Anne (started working in the Store in 1972) continues to run the business.

The Cotopaxi Store is a real "General Store". It has groceries, a bakery/deli/cafe, livestock feed, hardware, UPS shipping, maps, gift items, hunting and fishing licenses and supplies, and fuel--gasoline, diesel, propane, kerosene and firewood.
